How did you and your significant other meet?

We worked together at Target, went our separate ways, and found each other again through dating Apps!

As a couple, what are your interests/hobbies?

We love board games and video games. We're gamers through and through! Dan loves motorcycles and cars too!

When did you know your partner was “the one” and you wanted to get married?

Hannah knew during a trip to Austin - their first out of state trip. Dan knew when Hannah came to stay during Covid so they could be in a Covid Pod because she couldn't stand not seeing him anymore.

What is one of your favorite things about your partner?

Hannah loves how deeply Dan cares about humanity and fights to be a better person than he was yesterday. Dan loves the way Hannah helps people find what they love so they can go on to help others.

What was your proposal like (was the ring a surprise or was it collaborative)?

While the actual proposal was a surprise, Dan asked Hannah if she'd like to get married one day, and they designed the ring together with Balefire before the proposal.

Why did you decide to work with Balefire?

We love Olde Town Arvada, had never been in, but loved the jewelry and art in the window. When we came in for a consultation, Jamie was incredibly helpful & knowledgeable in turning an heirloom piece into new pieces for our wedding. It doesn't hurt that Jamie and Hannah were wearing the same pants and had the same birthday! :).

What advice would you give to other couples shopping for wedding or engagement rings?

Find something that speaks to the two of you. Our Rings tell a story and we wouldn't have been able to do that without Balefire.

Anything else you want to share?

We had the necklace/earring set made from a necklace my Mother's grandmother gave her mom (who handed it down and Yada yada) I didn't have any grandparents at the wedding as they all had passed and that little piece of them was so lovely to have.

Jamie also helped us turn the opal inlay in the heirloom ring into a gift to give Dan's mom so that she still has a piece of the ring she gave us. It was a beautiful piece and we cannot wait to share it with her!
